Sending Off Relatives At Colombo Airport.
There are many people's relatives are flying off from the Colombo International Airport. If you are accompanying your relatives to send off, take note of the following things. Passenger must remember the Flight Number and departure time Passenger must have the Passport and the air ticket and the others must have their NIC ready to show at the vehicle check point.
1.Only two peoples are allowed with a passenger to go inside of the Airport.
2. If more than two people coming with the passenger, they must stay in an open area with trees and two small sheds. There are some cement seats for them to sit and relax.
3.Those who are accompanying the passenger must by an entrance ticket at the price of Sri Lankan Rs.130/-each. There are trolleys available for the passenger to take their luggage up
to the security check. (After the security check, can get trolley there too.)
4.Passenger must have the passport and Air ticket ready for inspection.
5.Those who are entering with the passenger must pass the Security check at the entrance including the passenger.
6. Vehicle which is carrying the passenger and the relatives is allowed
to park in the parking area with the driver only. Parking fee is Sri lankan Rs.150/-
(Keep the Vehicle's number and the driver's mobile phone number to
call back the vehicle for the return journey to the home.)
7.In the departure Lounge there are ample seating facility, coffee shop,
Gift shops, a supper market branch, Siddlepha, Gift Tea sales centre,
Traveler’s Cheques office, Bank for foreign exchange, Excess baggage
service, SLT telephone service and internet service (Rs.150/- for 15
minutes usage), Computer Print outs Rs 100/-, European style
Restaurant in the upstairs are available.
