Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
This reserve is one of two reserves in the world to be located within city boundaries (the other being Rio de Janeiro) and it contains more species of trees than the whole of North America. Here is also where you'll locate the highest peak on the island, Bukit Timah Hill, at 164 metres. Stop by the Visitor Centre at the base of the reserve and take a stroll to the peak where you can have a picnic. Watch out for the monkeys! Best time to visit: From 8.30am to 6.00pm daily
