The Singapore History Museum has a new exhibition, Rivertales at Riverside Point (Opposite Clarke Quay). This exhibition is specially presented during the closure of its 116-year old Stamford Road building for redevelopment till 2006.
Rivertales explores the history of Singapore through developments revolving around the Singapore River. There is also the hourly screening of the Museum's 12-minute short film - The Old Man and the River - a poetic exposition of the Singapore River seen through the eyes of a 77-year-old man, followed by a 3D 35-minute visual display - The Singapore Story - Overcoming the Odds or one of the collection of heritage documentaries.
