U.S State Department has canceled travel warning for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is looking for tourist and business people from the U.S.A soon as the U.S State Department has canceled the travel warning for Sri Lanka. The separatist war with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was ended in the year 2009. And there after no incidents were reported about the threat to human beings. So after one year the U.S State Department has made the decision to lift the travel warning for Sri Lanka.

The news will give a big boost to Sri Lanka tourist industry where most of the hotels are waiting for the tourist arrivals after the en d of Sri Lanka war.

Cinnamon Grand, Ceylon Continental Hotel, Hilton Colombo Residence, Taj Samudra Hotel, Galadari Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Cinnamon Lakeside, Earl's Regency are the 5 star hotels which are serving tourists and business people in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
These following hotels too are holding 5 star, but are located out of Colombo. They are Eden Resort & Spa, Heritance, Heritance, Mahaweli Reach Hotel, Taj Exotica, The Blue Water and The Elephant Corridor


Sri Lankan airline cut flights to some Indian cities.

Sri Lankan airlines have announced on Wednesday they are scrapping some routes to Indian cities like Cochin, Calicut, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. They are taking these decisions as they are losing in profits because of the Indian low budget Indian airline companies.

Sri Lankan airline is the national carrier of Sri Lanka and it is partly owned by the Emirates of Dubai, whom have 40% share in the airlines.
